Check out these rules before you enter The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest!

1. Contest Duration and Submission Process:

The pumpkin carving contest will run until October 11th at 6:00 PM. All pumpkin entries must be completed at home prior to this deadline. Once carved, participants are required to bring their pumpkins to the designated competition drop-off zones at the Leg Lamp from 4-6 PM October 11th. Please ensure your pumpkin is properly labeled with your unique registration number during submission.

2. Eligibility:

All participants must register ahead and receive a unique registration number, which should be prominently displayed with the pumpkin during submission. Registration can be completed online at chickashachamber.com.

3. Carving Categories:

Pumpkins will be judged in three distinct categories: Spookiest, Funniest, Cutest, and Most Creative. Participants can choose to enter their pumpkins into one or more categories.

4. Submission Locations and Time:

Completed pumpkins should be brought to either the Leg Lamp from 4-6 PM October 11th.

5. Safety and Longevity:

Prioritize safety during the carving process. To enhance pumpkin longevity, soaking them in vinegar or bleach before carving is recommended.

6. Judging Panel:

A committee of experts will assess the submitted pumpkins and select three finalists in each category based on the criteria of spookiness, humor, and creativity.

7. Community Vote:

Photos of the three finalist pumpkin creations in each category will be posted on the Chamber's Facebook page from October 16th to October 30th. The community is invited to cast their votes for their favorite pumpkins.

8. Winner Announcement:

The winners of each category will be revealed on October 31st at 3:00 PM. The announcement will be made on both the Chamber Facebook Page and Kool 105.5.

9. Prizes:

The champions of the Spookiest, Funniest, Cutest, and Most Creative categories will each be awarded a $50 prize.

10. Liability Waiver:

Participants agree to undertake pumpkin carving at their own risk and absolve the organizers of any liability for injuries or damages. By registering and submitting a pumpkin, participants also grant permission for the use of photographs and videos for promotional purposes.

11. Community Engagement:

This contest is designed to promote community spirit and Halloween enthusiasm. Let's unite in celebrating our creativity and the Halloween season.

12. Contact Information:
